In July 2008 a team of students from Leventhorpe School sixth form will travel to Madagascar to work on projects such as renovating school buildings, painting orphanages and similar community projects to help the poor and underprivileged people in that country. They also hope to learn lessons myself about leadership and facing challenges.  The project is being planned with an organisation specialising in organising expeditions, World Challenge Expeditions.

To be able to take part in the project each participant needs to raise £3,455 by the summer of 2008.  We have formed a fundraising team that is already planning sponsored events and other activities, and we will all contribute from our part-time jobs, but this may not be enough.

Therefore we are asking if you would consider sponsoring either me individually or my fundraising team of ten. Everything you give will be used towards the project. Any amount large or small will be really helpful.

On 13 May team members took part in a sponsored cross-country run in Alice Holt Forest Park near Farnham.

Despite heavy rain they all achieved their target distance of 10 kilometers.
